Ski hire Arosa

At the end of the Schanfigg valley, you'll find the small and charming Arosa ski resort. For the past century people have been visiting this secluded spot, at 1,800m above sea level, to enjoy the snow and fresh clean air - this air and the resort's eight to twelve hours of sunshine per day combine to give Arosa a very healthy Alpine climate. Although this is a very traditional resort with a long skiing history, the infrastructure and services are all modern and very efficient. The well designed lift system transports you quickly up to the 70km of marked pistes and the 40km of freeride slopes. And as Arosa is such a high altitude town you can ski or board straight back to the centre. This fantastic sports area isn't just for downhill skiing and snowboarding, the resort has facilities for all sorts of winter activities. For freestyling there's a snowpark and a half-pipe where you can practice your skills. There are 30km of cross-country ski trails and loads of snowshoe hiking possibilities across the area. If you want lessons or guided tours the Geeser Cross-Country Ski Centre will help you find guides or tutors for cross-country or telemark skiing, Nordic walking, and snowshoeing. Ice sports are a popular pastime in Arosa, and there are facilities for curling, ice stock sports, skating, and ice hockey. And classic fun in the snow, for both the young and old, can be found on the 4.5km of sledge runs in Arosa, and you can even sledge at night. In the resort centre you can relax after days on the mountains in the many hotel spas which are open to non-residents. Or you can opt for one of the many cultural activities in the resort, like the famous Arosa Comedy Festival or the winter music festival. There are of course lots of restaurants to spend relaxing evenings in, and the après ski in Arosa is great. With a large number of bars and clubs to choose from your nights in Arosa can be as lively as you want.
