Located in the Val d'Aran comarca, Baqueira-Beret is a Pyrenees winter sports resort stretching between elevations of 1,500m and 2,510m. It's one of the largest winter sports centres in the Pyrenees and Catalonia.
The site is divided into three different zones: Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua. It offers wide and open pistes as well as forests. Baqueira presents a difference in altitude of over 1,000m, as well as an extensive ski area. This makes it one of the best ski resorts in Catalonia. Baqueira-Beret counts over 100kilomètres of pistes, and is the second most extensive ski resort in Spain, and the most visited in the Iberian peninsula.
The ski area divides its 104kilomètres into 73 pistes, including 5 green, 37 blue, 37 red and 9 black. Baqueira-Beret possesses a wide variety of pistes suitable for every level. Thirty ski lifts service the resort across its 990m difference in altitude. Others can test out the joys to be had in the snowpark or the trampoline.
Two hundred ski instructors are available every morning to teach you their skills and techniques. One 7kilomètres-long course is for Nordic skiing while the others can test out the joys to be found in the snowpark.

This year, the resort has given itself a facelift. The layout of some pistes has been improved, while others have been re-sodded. This allows the snow to stick to the ground better, and helps lead to better snow grooming. Order a delicious hot coffee and then you're off for Cap de Baqueira!
