For freestyle, go to the snow parks of Sestrières and Sauze d'Oulx. Wall rides, rails, jumps or kickers: there are modules for all levels. Unlike some resorts in the Alps, Via Lattea does not neglect Nordic skiing. Go to the Olympic site of Pragelato where the cross-country skiing and ski jumping events were held in 2006. You can also use the loops of the Alberts plain in Montgenèvre which total 100 km prepared for alternating and skating. To test the Italian powder, you can count on the resort's freeride guides.

A competition site

Does the name Cesana/Sagnalonga ring a bell? It's normal, the resort hosted the bobsleigh, luge and skeleton events of the 2006 Olympic Games on its Cesana Pariol track. Many races take place during the season. You can also attend high level ski competitions and maybe even a round of the Ski World Cup which usually stops in Sestriere.
