Ski hire Grindelwald

Set in dramatic scenery directly below the north face of the towering Eiger, Grindelwald is the largest Jungfrau ski resort. One of the most famous ski resorts in Switzerland, Grindelwald combines traditional architecture, stunning Alpine peaks, and fantastic snow. Extensive skiing is available in Grindelwald and the linked resorts of Wengen and Murren. With a total of 213km slopes of mixed ability levels, numerous cross-country skiing trails, and almost endless powder to be found off-piste, Grindelwald and the Jungfrau ski area cater for all levels of skiers. Jungfrau is also a freestyle paradise with the biggest halfpipe in Switzerland and two terrain parks. The rails, kickers, waves, dips, and steep corners are ideal for beginner through to expert snowboarders and freestyle skiers. For other snow-based thrills Grindelwald has a range of activities, including night skiing, telemark, ice climbing, some of the longest toboggan runs in the Alps, and a wealth of touring trips. From Grindelwald you can take helicopter rides around the amazing peaks of the Eiger, Jungfrau, and Mönch - and if you don't want to take the return trip then you can ski or board back with one of the experienced guides. To explore the spectacular landscapes further, experienced skiers can take ski tours lasting one or two days, on touring skis and climbing skins, around immense mountains and glaciers. For indoor activities you won't be stuck in Grindelwald. The sports centre has a games rooms, table tennis, billards, an ice skating rink, and a swimming pool with solarium, sauna, and steam baths. For some culture in Grindelwald there's a museum about the local history, mountain sports, and the traditional cheese making in the area. There are also a cinema and bowling alleys in the resort for a change of pace after all your sporting adventures.Although a very activity focused resort Grindelwald also has some fantastic après ski. In the restaurants and bars around the village you can just relaxed and enjoy the mountain atmosphere. And night owls will find plenty going on after dark in the late night bars and clubs.
