In the Isola 2000 ski resort you can enjoy fantastic snow under the Mediterranean sun. Perfectly placed only an hour and a half from the French Riviera and Nice International Airport, the snow sports at Isola 2000 are superb, and with a ski area going up to 2,610m you can actually see the sea on clear days.From 1,800m you'll find 120km of marked runs across varied terrain that's suitable for a mixture of ability levels. The ski area is split between two valleys, one sunny and south facing, the other shaded and north facing, and skiing or boarding back to the village is always possible. For technically challenging freestyle fun Isola 2000 has a feature-packed snowpark, with big air, slopestyle, handrails, and a beginners zone. And there's also boardercross course on the Mouflon run.If you want to be adventurous and explore off-piste, Isola 2000 has some great possibilities. And although heli-skiing isn't allowed in France, the resort's really close to the Italian border so extreme trips can be arranged to Italy. Various thrills can be found within Isola 2000 with other sports: Ice driving is a particularly high-speed, high-adrenaline activity, as are snowmobile driving, and speed flying. Even higher altitudes can be enjoyed during a ski paraglide trip, but if heights and adrenaline aren't your thing you can always take a hiking trip or enjoy the outdoor ice rink in the centre of the resort. Also in the village is the Aquavallée centre, where you'll find sports facilities, swimming pool, jacuzzi, and hammam. Isola 2000 has a mixture of accommodation options and a lot of the hotels and residences have their own leisure facilities too, so you won't be stuck for activities off the slopes. And with the many restaurants, bars, and clubs staying open late, the evenings are sure to entertaining too.
