Ski hire Limone 1400

Located a few kilometres from the French border, the Italian resort of Limone 1400 enjoys an ideal geographical position.

Nestled in the heart of the Piedmont massif, south of the Alps and just a stone's throw from Nice, Limone is one of the oldest ski resorts in the region. With its 80 kilometres of pistes and a difference in altitude ranging from 1,400 to 2,085 metres, the resort is linked to the Riserva Bianca ski area, offering additional kilometres of pistes to ski down.
Snowboarders and other riders will absolutely love the Limonetto Snow Park. Its half-pipe, rails and kickers open up lots of possibilities, and it is suitable for beginners and advanced riders alike.

Limone 1400 is also an ideal resort for cross-country skiing; the trails are magnificent and allow access to unique viewpoints overlooking Corsica and the Ligurian Sea. In addition to skiing, the resort offers a multitude of other activities at attractive prices. Because of its history and its willingness to promote skiing, Limone 1400 is still an affordable resort. It offers you the opportunity to discover the local heritage, be it culinary, with a host of restaurants, or indeed architectural, with the neighbouring town of Vernante and its houses covered with picturesque paintings telling the story of Pinocchio.

There is also a snow playground at Limone 1400 where parents can take a breather and leave their children in the capable hands of the activity organisers. The resort is multi-faceted, oriented towards both families and young people, with a few discos and other bars where you can quench your thirst and dance after skiing all day.

The arrival of the railway at the end of the 19th century made Limone Piemonte one of the first ski resorts in the world. In 1907, the first ski competition that took place there was for military personnel. Throughout its history, Limone 1400 has continued to organise Alpine events until the International Olympic Committee awarded the 2006 Winter Olympic Games to the city of Turin, giving the Limone ski area the opportunity to develop its infrastructures, particularly its mechanical ones.

Limone 1400 is the perfect compromise if you want to make the most of your stay in the mountains without breaking the bank while you have fun on pistes of all levels, with family or friends.
