Leave to discovery the town of Morbier in Jura department, famous for its raw milk cheese from cows.
Located at 900 m of altitude, it consists of its own resort for learning downhill skiing: Les Gentianes. A ski lift takes you to the top of a green, blue and red run totalling 1.5 km. 17 snow canons are available at the resort to offer optimum snow. One slope remains illuminated which allows skieers to go night skiing. Morbier is more than a Nordic skiing town as it offers a network of 100 km of style skating and traditional style slopes. It also offers long hikes through the trails of the mountain. The resort has even developed an area that allows hikers to take a break before departing or upon arrival. The activity will delight lovers of open spaces. Walkers in snowshoes also have their slopes specially arranged.
After a day of exertion it's time to relax with a programme of activities as rich as it is varied: a skating rink, bowling, swimming pool and a library. When the bad weather arrives on the horizon, go and warm up in front of a movie at the cinema. And for all night owls, the nightclub stays open until the wee hours of the morning.
