In the magical Giffre Valley, the ski resort of Morillon is situated only 55km from Geneva airport which makes fantastic ski weekends and short breaks incredibly easy from the UK. The ski area around Morillon has 145km of marked slopes, and encompasses the neighbouring resorts of Les Carroz, Samoëns, and Sixt Fer à Chaval, all of which are linked by the incredibly efficient lift network leaving from Morillon 1100. Morillon and its neighbours are also linked to the Flaine ski resort and the Grand Massif ski area, which means from Morillon you can access a massive 265km of marked slopes, two snowparks, three half-pipes, and excellent off-piste!Along with regular skiing and snowboarding, the vast area around Morillon can be used for all sorts of other snow sports. Nordic skiing is particularly well catered for - there are three different areas for both classic and skating styles of Nordic skiing in the Haute Giffre, and each area has a choice of different routes for every ability level. Also on the snow at Morillon you can try ski joering, dog sledding, tobogganing, and snowshoe walking. Situated between Mont Blanc, Lake Annecy, and Geneva, the scenery around Morillon is incredible, and for a different view point you can explore from the air by paragliding, or taking hot air balloon and helicopter rides.Back at the resort you can relax after all your mountain adventures in the spas and wellness centres, or head straight to the après ski. There are lots of bars and restaurants in Morillon's main village and up at Morillon 1100, where the slopes end. So after a tiring day you can enjoy good food and drink as late into the night as you want.
