Ski hire Schwaz

Schwaz is a town located about 20 km from Innsbruck. It is situated at 545 meters on the slopes of the Kellerjoch, an imposing peak in the Tux Alps.

The joy of skiing, the comfort of a city

Schwaz is located in what is known as the silver region and made its fortune from the precious metal. In the Middle Ages, its mines supplied 85% of the world's needs! It even minted its own currency. The town is not as lavish as it once was, but it is still a vibrant place for families and groups of friends alike. Our partner store is waiting for you in Pill for your cheap ski rental in Schwaz. Then take the Arzberg chairlift to access the 14 km of slopes in the area. 9.5 km of blue runs, 2.4 km of red runs and 2.1 km of black runs cover the area from 850 meters to 1,900 meters. The children's area with its learning trail served by two magic carpets is located at 1,350 meters in the Grafenast sector.

Fun for all snow lovers

The Schwaz ski area offers a huge variety of activities. For cross-country skiing, there is a 7 km trail from Schwaz to the village of Buch along the river Inn. Do you already have a lot of experience in cross-country skiing or skating? The Vomperberg Plateau with its 8 km of trails is a great way to get out and about in the countryside. And to top it all off, access to both trails is free! During your stay in Schwaz, you can also reconnect with your childlike spirit by taking a sledge ride. A 9.2 km long course (the longest in North Tyrol) leads young and old from the Hecherhaus area to Freundsberg Castle.

Nature and culture tours

Take advantage of your stay in Schwaz to enjoy the unspoiled landscape of the Tux Alps. Go for a powder run and make your mark on the fresh snow on the slopes of the Kellerjoch. The mountain guides are also available to organize snowshoeing trips to explore the unknown corners of the area. Would you prefer the comfort of your own walking shoes? Take the prepared hiking trails to the high altitude chalets where you can have a gourmet break. Once you have closed the ski area, take a stroll through the charming streets of the town. The Museum der Völker, dedicated to local traditions, and the Freundsberg Castle are two essential stops to learn all about the rich history of Schwaz.

A town with a fascinating heritage surrounded by spectacular mountains, Schwaz promises an unforgettable stay. With family or friends, you will enjoy the warm welcome and the many activities offered on the estate.
